I am a graduate of the University of Louisville with my Master’s in Social Work. I have provided therapy to adolescent girls with substance abuse issues who lived in a residential facility. For the past 8 years, I have worked with at risk youth who have aged out of foster care. Most youth have diagnoses of anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, depression, etc. This has given me great experience with working with individuals who had experienced abandonment issues, trauma, self-esteem issues and grief. That experience will transition well into other individuals who may be experiencing similar issues.
Therapy is a big step for some. So, a session with me is laid back. I believe clients are the expert of their life and believe nobody knows you better than you. I’m a strong believer in meeting people where they are. I am personable and interactive. I am very empathic and compassionate. Previous clients know that I genuinely care.
I have a strong ability of building relationships. I provide a safe space for clients to be themselves and work through whatever issue that they may be facing. I am honest and help clients to identify and utilize their strengths to face anything that they may be dealing with. I want others around me to reach their full potential and I always strive to leave others better off than when I met them.
