I am able to help clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, and trauma through a client centered approached that also includes elements of various counseling theories and modalities to help my clients understand themselves and develop coping skills to manage and overcome their distress.
A session with me often involves allowing the client to direct the conversation and focus on what is happening in the present. Themes from these conversations are identified and explored as a way for the client to gain improved insight into how these have developed.
Client who are interested in gaining a better understanding of self and how past events have influenced thoughts and behaviors find my style of counseling helpful. They feel heard and understood and enjoy the opportunity to process life’s events in real time and assign meaning to the issues that are affecting them.
