Personal Experience & Biography

Psychotherapy is a process of discovery that has an overall goal of eliminating or controlling troubling and painful symptoms that will enable clients to return to normal functioning. I utilize evidence-based clinical methods, including Family Systems, Solution-focused, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy treatment modalities, to address mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar, grief, and other conditions. Clients have an opportunity to identify and express their feelings, learn to let go of negative thought patterns that undermine their confidence, find reasonable and practical solutions to problems, accept, and adjust to situations that cannot be changed, gain insight into past traumas, and learn positive coping strategies to overcome their effects.

My work experience and volunteer services reflect my strong commitment to the area of human services. With excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as an altruism spirit, I’m able to meet clients where they are and build rapport and therapeutic alliance.

From the onset of therapy, it’s important to create a safe, accepting, caring, non-judgmental, and reliable environment where clients can feel comfortable sharing their most traumatic experiences and engage in treatment.
