Personal Experience & Biography

I am best able to help my clients based on my ability to individualize their treatment with realistic goals and coping skills. My approach is often strengths-based, with the utilization of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI), to assist clients with finding the tools to navigate the issue at hand. I have experience with various populations and disorders, and often seek the utilization of psychoeducation to allow clients to be more informed about their individual diagnoses.

Therapy can be very intimidating. However, I strive to maintain a space in which you feel safe, heard, and validated. My clients experience a warm environment to share what they feel comfortable without judgement, while working to foster self-confidence. I often utilize self-disclosure, when appropriate, to build a stronger therapeutic relationship. Sessions are typically like a conversation, rather than a formal interview, in which I aim to meet you where you are at with realistic goals.

My clients come back to me due to the strong rapport we build and their ability to trust me. My goal is for clients to always feel respected and empowered. My clients know that I am invested in their personal growth and genuinely believe in them. Change is not linear, and together, we will work to accomplish your goals.
