I enjoy working with clients on ways to overcome and manage trauma symptoms and their impact on functioning. I believe that understanding what is going on internally can help to manage those symptoms, so I enjoy going over the brain and body’s threat response. I also enjoy working with others about ways to manage anxiety, establish boundaries, and manage stressors of daily life.
I am always person-centered and take a strengths based approach. I am very laid back and open minded. I focus a lot on rapport building to help strengthen the therapeutic alliance, which is shown to be one of the most important aspects for therapy success. I will listen without judgement, and take pride in providing my client’s with a safe space to discuss their life events.
I listen without judgement. I provide my clients with a safe, judge free zone to discuss whatever they’re comfortable discussing. In addition to listening, I also help clients process through complex emotions and provide psychoeducation of new coping techniques and why they can help.
