I specialize in counseling people experiencing anxiety, depression, and PTSD symptoms and enjoy working with those in the LGBTQ community. I am from a small town in southeastern KY and obtained my Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from EKU. I spent my internship at The Ridge Behavioral Health and have 2.5 years of experience in the foster care system. I am trained in EMDR and use it to assist clients in diffusing their most distressing memories into non-distressing memories.
I offer a non-judgmental and individualized approach to therapy that values the authentic relationship between therapist and client. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families. I have a special interest in the topics of trauma, loss, depression, and anxiety. At times, life can be difficult, disappointing, and painful. But I believe that people are resilient. With a therapeutic partnership people can navigate through their struggles and work toward healing.
My clients continue coming back for follow-up visits due to the non-judgmental and respectful environment I create in sessions. I strive to go at the client’s pace and identify achievable and measurable treatment goals towards healing.
